About This Spot

Stepping into Golemo's Market feels like being welcomed into a cherished neighborhood treasure, where the hum of quiet conversation blends with the soft rustle of carefully stacked goods. Nestled in a part of Worcester that wears its history simply and candidly, this gourmet grocery store moves at a peaceful, unhurried pace—inviting visitors to slow down, explore, and discover.

The air here carries the subtle, savory promise of homemade smoked ham mingling with the earthy aroma of rich cheeses and freshly prepared kielbasa. This is more than a store; it’s a heartfelt nod to old-world flavors and the comforting rituals of shared meals.

It’s easy to imagine local families stopping by after work or on weekends, exchanging warm greetings with the friendly team, and selecting ingredients that will soon animate kitchen tables with stories and laughter. Whether it's the softly seasoned pierogi that bring a touch of nostalgia or the carefully crafted sausages that become the centerpiece of a casual cookout, the market’s offerings carry a sense of both heritage and home.

While parking and the neighborhood’s tucked-away location ask a little patience, the genuine hospitality and the immersive experience of browsing aisles steeped in culture make the visit quietly rewarding. Behind the scenes, the attentive care from staff—who know their craft and the products intimately—adds a personal layer to every interaction, ensuring you leave with more than groceries: a small but meaningful connection to a vibrant community.

If you are looking for Polish food this is the spot. I grabbed some of the pierogi's and kielbasas and let me tell you they were thoroughly enjoyed by all my friends at the cookout. Traditional little spot located in a part of the city less than desirable. Parking can be tough but I went on a Saturday and there was ample parking on the street for the weekend. Everything is in polish and English and the staff have been doing this for years and willing to help. You will not be disappointed you definitely need to stop here!!

To preface: I am Polish and definitely biased toward Polish cuisine. That being said, I love this store with all of my heart. My grandma took my mom here when she was young, my mom did the same for me. Golemo's offers a quality, varied selection of Polish and European food products and I never leave empty handed. Their handmade kielbasa comes in many varieties and is to die for!! They also have a great selection of handmade pierogi and pastries. Pickles and Milka bars are also some of my favorites from here.

02/06/2021 I am so happy I'd recently discovered this place. Apologies to the locals for taking up so many parking places while I was shopping. This is NO street for a tractor/trailer but oh, the challenge of maneuvering through the neighborhood was worth it. I'd spent close to $100 at this store. Already, after trying some of the wares am delighted to tell you that you will not waste your money. This stuff is GOLD! The smoked sausage is so good, you'll want to eat every morsel as slow as possible. I also found really nice syrups from Poland, Sauerkraut and jellies and jams. They have the largest selection of canned sardines and other fish I've EVER seen. And then there is the Lithuanian bread I've been looking for for years. Well, if you're planning on checking this street out, and you happen to be driving a big truck, arrive at 7:50 am on a Saturday.

Great house-made ham, good variety of cheese, and of course, the smell of the place makes you hungry!

The BEST Kielbasa on the planet! I discovered them when in the early 80s our company built and sold them and I delivered their glass board refrigerated panels for their coolers. I was hooked. I never buy supermarket brand! Golemo Market uses the finest ingredients! Bar None!
